Edit your Hosts File To Get Around DNS issues

On Windows:
  1. From your start menu, search for "Notepad"
  2. Right click on the program when it appears, and choose "Run as Administrator"
  3. When it opens, click File > Open or press Ctrl + O
  4. Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  5. Switch view from *txt to "All Files" in the lower right-hand dropdown menu.
  6. Click on "hosts" then click "Open"
  7. Add a line to the file and type the IP and domain you wish to direct to it, separated by a single space. For example: 69.169.35.81 mydevdomain.com
  8. Click File > Save or press Ctrl + S.
